Maria Sharapova said she didn’t know Sachin Tendulkar and the world was never the same again. Fans clambered to slam the tennis star for the insult she had heaped upon their own personal God. The fourth estate duly reported each and every tweet as if to state their stand against a lady whose GK was really bad. How does it matter that the sport in question is not prominent in the country she stays or was born. But since we ourselves know our hockey, football, badminton, etc. stars so very well, we have the full right to chastise her :P

Not fair. I felt its perfectly fine for some non-cricket playing nation to not know about the GOD.

Fair..it really is. Hype about non-issues like these tell us that we still are an insecured nation :(
