Have you ever realized what’s so endearing about small children? I think its the fact that they are oblivious to the so called society norms. If you teach them a rule they will abide by it and let you know when you don’t. No one can beat them when it comes to being straight forward. Again one of my everyday anecdotes :)
Just as my bus was approaching Deccan I saw a mother hurriedly going towards the exit door with a 6 year old kid. On reaching near the door, she told him to hold tightly onto the side bar lest he falls down.The kid was too busy looking outside to listen to her. She reiterated it again but to no avail. Finally she raised her voice and admonished him firmly. This time, reluctantly the kid put his tiny hands around the bar,not without giving her a 'why-do-you-preach-so-much' stare.
Just then the driver applied brakes and caught many of us unaware. It included the mom who stumbled and dashed the person in front. To this, the kid shouted at the top of his voice - "Mala pakad pakad mhanun saangtes...swatha pan pakad ki"(You have been telling me to hold tightly so many times, why cant you do it yourself)
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud...Fortunately the mom laughed out too :)
